Stuffed Bell Peppers / Capsicum

Stuffed Bell Peppers is a household dish. Very popular side dish is visually appealing too. This dish can be baked or pan cooked. Green bell peppers stuffed with spicy mashed potato and onion is a sure hit for lunch or dinner. Here, I am sharing this recipe with step by step instructions..


Green bell peppers/ capsicum - 2
Boiled potatoes - 3 big
Onion - 1 big chopped
Ginger - 1 inch piece, chopped
Green Chillies - as per taste, chopped
Coriander seeds -1/2 tablespoons, crushed
Salt - 1.5 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
Aamchoor / dried mango powder - 1 teaspoon
Red chilly powder -1/4 teaspoon


Preheat oven at 200 degrees.

Wash bell peppers and scrap the stem side in such a way, that it can act as a lid.

Mash boiled potatoes, add chopped onion, green chillies, ginger, crushed coriander seeds. Add all dry masalas and mix properly.
Now stuff this mixture in each bell pepper only till 2/3 level.( it comes out when heated). Cover each pepper with their stem lid.

Brush lightly with oil and bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

Serve hot with chapati, paratha.
